If you are experiencing rough idle, hard to start especially after fuelling, poor fuel economy and the CEL with codes P0440, P0442, P0449, P0453 then you may have a problem with your vapor canister.
Replacement Vapor Canister - A critical component of the EVAP system, the canister stores the fuel vapours until the engine is ready to absorb them and then released for the engine to burn instead of the vapours just being released into the atmosphere. When your evap canister is bad it may trigger a CEL (Check Engine Light) with codes such as P0440, P0442, P0449, P0453.
The vapor charcoal canister evap can easily be located inside the engine bay or underneath the vehicle and can easily be replaced by removing the vent valve and mounts.
